Now is a great time to revisit your financial goals and either give yourself a pat on the back or a shake up.
If you haven't got any financial goals, it's a great time to create your financial goals and WRITE YOUR OWN FUTURE.
In 1954 Harvard University wanted to measure the effects of goal setting. They got 3% of the class to write their goals down. They followed these people for 20 years and found that the group that had written their goals (3%) were worth more than the rest of the group 97% combined!
We have all heard the saying "When you fail to plan you plan to fail". So if you haven't already lets make a plan and set some goals..... It's worth a go and will make a HUGE difference.
So some quick tips to goal setting:
1. Start with short term goals as they tend to be achieved quickly. After you have marked a few off the list its a great feeling and you will want to do more.
2. Once you have achieved some short term goals, start setting some long term goals. Think big, you deserve it.
3. Write them down as if you have achieved them, and set time frames for your goals
4. Write a list of things you need to do to achieve the goals, and there is your plan, easy!
5. Do something everyday towards your goals and revise them frequently.
6. Reward yourself when you achieve your goal.
So in essence - Set goals, review them frequently and if you work towards them you will change your FORTUNE AND YOUR FUTURE.
Happy goal setting,
Anup
